If its true it will be the straw for most of us.

Bit silly agreeing a deal for someone you can’t afford.

Phew superb news

I got a little worried

Rice is pretty much certain to be tapped up by Chelsea by now, Haller cost us a lot but doubt we'll get much for him back.

I hope Moyes at least gets some input in who goes and who gets brought in.

The very least GSB can do is back the man they brought back.

I thought he said the Soucek deal was already done?

Exwhuemployee has confirmed this

They can't even sign Soucek before they sell to fund it!

Anderson, Lanzini, Wilshere, Yarmolenko, Masuaku, Balbuena, Ajeti and Riberto all for sale

Re: David Moyes will have zero transfer budget C&P
Good point dave

It's too much risk to adapt so many at once to the prem

You want 4 players from the Championship to make up our midfield options ?
Bowen has certainly put in the effort and started scoring once given a start but needs to find his shooting boots once again. He's been very inconsistant with shots on target mostly going well over the goal
.
hopefully pre-season he can work on that side

Barty 3:48 Thu Jul 23
Re: David Moyes will have zero transfer budget C&P
Yarmolenko is on massive wages so it will be hard to find a buyer. Same goes for Lanzini

But if we could sell them and Anderson and sign Eze and Benrahma we would be a very exciting side!

With Bowen and Diangana here too.

Bowen/Eze - Fornals/Eze - Benrahma/Diangana

Antonio/Haller

Great options. Here's hoping. I know this is very optimistic

Over to you Moyes

Re: David Moyes will have zero transfer budget C&P
If the opening post is true

Sell Masuaku, Fredericks, Lanzini and Ajeti.

Release/get off the wage bill: Reid and Wilshere

Buy Robinson of Wigan for 1.5 mill. Buy a right back. Sign a striker on loan. Get a centre midfielder on loan to cover for Soucek and Rice. Use Diangana.

And if Moyes wants Eze he can always sell Anderson.

I wonder how much Anderson would go for?

"City will be sniffing"

They've already got the world's most expensive defensive midfielder. I'm not sure they're ready to bin off Rodri just yet.

Re: David Moyes will have zero transfer budget C&P
Would happily chip in for a tube ticket to Heathrow for Anderson or a National Express ticket to somewhere up north. Haller needs to play in the formation that Frankfurt played him in to be effective (which is blindingly obvious). Unfortunately the player who'll raise the biggest fee is Rice (City will be sniffing).

I thought that. A complete lack of knowledge. As usual.

Re: David Moyes will have zero transfer budget C&P
I’m not going to write off Haller and Anderson yet. Anderson was our best player for a while and Haller has shown flashes of potential before the team’s form began collapsing under Pellers and he was isolated up front.

I’m not a fan of this “squad clear out” stuff that people get into every time we have a bad run of form. It reminds me of people buying stocks when the price is high then panicking and selling them when the price is low. Instead of selling players like Haller and Anderson and making a massive loss, why don’t we give Moyes a chance to knock them back into form?

I know a few Charlton fans who say exactly the same. Bowyer raves about him too.

He can't be any worse than Sanchez I wouldn't have thought, so maybe let him be his replacement in the squad for now.

He will try and turn us into an Everton on a shoestring budget

Depressing times, sell before you buy!

Bowen came from Hull. That hasn't worked out too badly.
